Trad

September 21, 2009
The photo above is of our hosts, Michael and Barbara.

We were planning to eat at a place called Ashes, but Barbara told us they were closed today, so we went to a pub. I had crab claws and they were yummy. Nothing quite like getting seafood in a town on the ocean. Martha had a seafood bake, and Mom and Dad split a fish and chips.

We returned to the Milestone house, but headed back out later that evening to visit a pub where we were told we would find good traditional Irish music (Trad). We were not disappointed. There was a trio playing; a guitar, a fiddle, and a flute. They were extremely talented and we enjoyed their music while we had some drinks. Most of us had soft drinks, but Martha went for a small glass of Harp.

We’ve had drizzle and wind since we got here, but it has not diminished the beauty of this land or our spirits. This has been a very happy anniversary.
