Taking a Break

Yesterday, the workers finished up the framing. They came back briefly today to correct a pocket door that had been installed the wrong way around, and to change our furnace filter and take away the trailer of discarded materials. I have just a few pictures I took yesterday.

Our cat Rosie discovered how to slip under the zip door to escape the basement, so I made my pwn modification to the zip door. Basically, I taped some additional plastic to the bottom. The idea is that she can’t push the plastic out of the way while she’s standing on it. It’s worked so far.

The crew won’t be back until Tuesday. Actually, I think it will be a different crew because next week has different kinds of work. The schedule says we’ll get the beginnings of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical during that week.

After blocking some of the risky looking holes in the construction site, we rolled up the zip door to give access to the cats for the long weekend break.
