Demolition Begins

Today is the first day of demolition. Martha and I are living in the basement now, and as I sit here typing, I can hear the sounds of destruction above me. Yesterday, we moved the last bits of furniture and everything else out of the main floor, and then took some pictures of the empty spaces so that we will have something to compare to once all of the work is done. I’m taking a lot of the pictures in stereo, so if you’re able to cross your eyes while viewing the stereographs, you be able to see them in 3D. Otherwise you can look at just the left or right image as a normal photograph. Remember to click the images to see them full size.

I added a few more pictures to this post after the workers left, showing the destruction.

In the next few days, I expect to write a new post about the design, where we’re going, and how we got to where we are now.
