Doors and Shelves

On Friday, doors arrived and we started seeing them installed. The work of installing doors and associated trim continued Monday and today. That included the hanging of the pocket doors in the primary suite, and we also got shelves and other structure in the walk-in closet.

I think the first door we saw in was the closet door in Martha’s office. More recently we saw the bedroom door. We saw the slabs for the pocket doors, then later saw them hung.

Part of the excitement of seeing the pocket doors getting assembled is seeing how the mechanism works. It’s going to work so much better than pocket doors I’ve seen in the past, and I can see that they’re going to look really sharp.

I’m really excited to see the walk-in closet coming together. We can see the shelves are going to look great, and it’s great to see the dresser coming together. You can see the progress between the last two pictures.
