Still in the Mud

There were some scheduling problems with the drywall crew, so the mudding was just finished yesterday. At least that was the new plan and it looks finished.

Sanding should all happen today. We’re bracing ourselves for a very messy process, and we don’t know how much dust will make it into the basement where we’re living. The original schedule had today listed as the beginning of the priming period, but I’m told shifting that by a day shouldn’t throw the project off schedule. That’ still leaves 3 days to do the priming before flooring starts next week.

As I sit here writing this, I can hear the now familiar sounds of mudding above me. I’m hoping that is just some finishing part of the job that doesn’t interfere with sanding starting today.
